Louisiana Student Standards
Belle Chasse Academy adheres to the Louisiana Student Standards. These standards ensure that all students have a clear roadmap to success in college or a career. Clearly defined goals help families and teachers work together to ensure the students succeed, have access to extra assistance when they need it, and are challenged appropriately.
The link below will direct you to the Louisiana Department of Education’s Family Support Toolbox where you will find detailed information on curriculum and assessment resources. On each teacher’s website, there are unit summaries, which provide information about specific skills, activities, and assessments in math and literacy.
Within the comprehensive framework of instruction, Belle Chasse Academy employs research-based programs of support and scaffolding, in complete compliance with identified best-practices and all state and federal rules and regulations. Notably the academy has implemented a school-wide “Response to Intervention” (RtI) model within the regular education structure. Academically Gifted and Artistically Talented students are offered individualized instruction matching their abilities and gifts; and extensive Special Education services are delivered through a co-teaching, inclusion model.
